Who are we?
Founded in 1993 and based in Franche-Comté, ITB INNOVATION puts its sense of innovation and the excellence of its achievements at the service of its customers to develop customised clamping solutions for machining
ITB’s clamping systems are built to hold workpieces securely and consistently while minimising the risk of deformation. Compactness is a characteristic of ITB’s products, allowing machining processes to be optimised efficiently.
According to Christophe Boiteux, the company’s founding CEO, in recent years the mass introduction of robots in machine shops and the industrial revolution 4.0 have been a formidable vector for the company’s development. Automating workpiece loading necessarily means automating positioning and clamping, as well as optimising changeover solutions.
To support this industrial revolution, ITB Innovation is constantly developing its expertise by offering fully integrated solutions, from hydraulic power units to clamping systems, including the automation of clamping cycles and the integration of complex feed systems.
From the preliminary design to the 3D study, from machining to assembly and inspection of its products, ITB Innovation controls every stage of the manufacturing process for its clamping systems and guarantees an extreme degree of quality, repeatability, and reliability. ITB INNOVATION systems are durable and used in over 20 countries.

Our history
The ITB adventure began in 1993 when Christophe Boiteux invented and marketed a patented system: the Magic System.
This system, still available today, allows wooden parts to be machined on CNC centres. From its inception, this efficient and economical system achieved strong sales and was successfully exported across Europe.
Over the next three years, ITB developed other innovative systems in parallel, including:
- The left and right rotation machining tool.
- The suction cup table system.
From 1996, ITB equipped its design office with a high-performance 3D CAD system: SOLIDWORKS.
ITB leveraged its innovative capabilities to enter the industrial tooling market, focusing on hydraulic clamping systems. This became its core business and spurred significant growth. To maintain a competitive edge, ITB developed unique hydraulic clamping solutions for integration with machining tools.
The development of compact systems is important for this type of product, allowing for optimised and higher-performance solutions compared to using standard components. In recent years, the increasing use of robots in machine shops and advancements related to Industry 4.0 have also contributed to the company's growth.
Since January 2004, ITB Innovation has been based in the Autechaux industrial estate, 5 km from Baume-les-Dames and close to the motorway (A36 Baume-les-Dames exit).
Franche-Comté's location allows easy access to Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and facilitates international collaboration.
Since 2009, ITB Innovation has acquired various types of machinery to bring its machining operations in-house. The equipment currently consists of over 30 CNC machines, such as 5-axis machining centres, 4- and 5-axis turning centres, wire EDM machines, conventional, NC, and robotic grinding machines, a drilling machine, and two three-dimensional inspection machines. The adjustment and assembly area of the workshop is responsible for the precision and quality control of the finished products.
ITB produces all components internally. To date, the only process that has been outsourced is heat treatment.
The company has used a CAM system since 2010, with TOPSOLID software bridging CAD and machines. This enables fast machining of complex parts and reduces human error.
Currently, the company employs 50 individuals who are involved in designing and manufacturing machining fixtures, special chucks, and hydraulic feed systems. The team works with modern resources, supporting ITB Innovation's annual growth. The company's consistent growth in turnover allows for ongoing investment aligned with market needs. ITB Innovation oversees all stages of the manufacturing process for its clamping systems, from initial design through 3D modeling, machining, assembly, and product inspection. This approach aims to ensure quality, consistency, and reliability. ITB Innovation's systems are used in over 20 countries and are intended for durability.
